Fakro Roof Windows Flashings
Purpose of Flashings
Flashings are essential for the correct installation of Fakro Roof Windows. Precisely designed details ensure a durable and neat fit with roofing materials used. Flashings ensure effective drainage away from the Roof Window and also provide vital protection from the elements.
With so many different roofing materials to choose from, Fakro offer a wide variety of solutions to tailor your needs. All flashings are manufactured using aluminum as standard and are permanently protected with a polyester varnish. The standard colour is brown RAL 7022 which matches well with most roofing finishes.
Types of Flashing
Fakro Roof Window flashings are categorised according to roof material and application. In Ireland, the most popular flashings are as follows:

These are 'N' (+3cm), 'V' (0cm) and 'J' (-3cm). The standard installation of windows with the application of flashing EL is V – version ELV.
